Stitcher for Podcasts App Reviews

I use stitcher all day while Im at work, but the last few days its been down for maintenance. I think this is way to long to be down. Im still new to the app but does this happen a lot?

This used to be my favorite app but its been "down for maintenance" for over a week. When will it be back up & running?

This is second time in the morning where app is down for maintenance. When it is working some podcast are not updated and slow buffering.

I depend on stitcher every day to listen to my favorite podcasts. I especially like the offline listening. But I miss you! What is going on? Youve been under maintenance for nearly a week. Im now out of podcasts and dont want to resort to switching apps.

Sometimes you dont know what youve got until its gone. Best podcast app available!

My favorite app.. Perfect for catching up on a variety of podcasts without having to move between apps.

Ill still just use the apple podcast app instead. Too many ads and consistently switches back to their promoted podcasts instead of my chosen playlist. Another loyal user driven away by greed and incompetence. One star. Would have been less if lower scores were allowed. I uninstalled your terrible app because of the new update. 252 hours listened, not a single second more. Remember when stitcher was good?

Ive been using Stitcher since 2011 and it used to be a great app. Lately it seems like its been down more than its been working. Unsatisfactory.

Have been loyal user for years, even thru recent server issues. But in last 2 days pop up video ads have been hijacking my iPhone, and only when I am listening to stitcher. This really needs to be fixed.

Stitcher at one time was an ok podcast player. It was no frills and user friendly, but as of the last "update" the app has become almost un-useable. At any given moment when listening to a podcast the app will drop you out and make you restart. I have had this happen two to three times on every show I tried to listen to. When you do restart you most listen from the beginning. The app has also become a drain on the battery life of both my Galaxy 6 and my IPhone 6S. The drain is so bad that I have to force stop the app every time I use it. The app will not keep your favorites list intact and will add shows that you do not request. They also refuse to carry some of the most popular show I.E. Adam Carolla. Lastly and the most disturbing is the lack of customer service or even feed back to help with these issues. After several times trying to contact them all I have gotten so far are canned responses that have nothing to do with the issues at hand. As much as I hate to say it if you want to reduce your frustration and live a happier life you may want to find a better podcast player.

I loved this app b4 it went down for maintenance. Now I see why....frustrating to have video ads pop up in middle of podcasts playing. Dumb decision..definitely were not thinking of the consumer. Removed off my phone!

I used to love this app. But now, since I upgraded my phone from the 4 to the 6s, Stitcher wont function unless you create an account. Eff that. I was using it for years without creating one. Deleting this app.

Ive been a subscriber for a couple of years now, but ads are sneaking in on a regular basis between listening sessions. And I noticed on the mobile app theres yet another banner ad at the bottom thats very easy to open accidentally. You guys advertised an ad-free experience with the subscription. Youre not delivering. Im disappointed.

Easy to use, huge selection of content, and build play lists, as well as off line listening when i Travel. .Love the discovery of new shows via the recommendations homepage based on my listening

Update: After an update a while ago I lost all the stations and shows I saved! Then when I try to save shows, it just doesnt save them!! Also the single-play function is still missing. Plz update and solve these problems that make me not want to use this app. It allows you to save your favorite shows, a function I have wished iTunes had for a long time. Another one is sharing. If therere <<single episode play option>> and a <<sleep timer>> to turn off the player automatically, itll be perfect. Update: this is the first podcast app alternative to the Apple app. Be been using it for years and although theres glitches at time, my experience has been great in general. Stitcher deserves a pat on the back.

This app is so close to being great. Unfortunately they lack shows from ESPN and Podcast One. Also I subscribed to their premium features and lost the BBC because apparently they dont allow their podcasts on a paid service which is fine if their was a mention of this before I paid. I love the premise but in the end Ill probably switch to something else.

1) The font size on the PodCast title is so large, it runs off of the page and I cant read the whole title. 2) Inability to delete a podcast that I dont care to listen to. Subsequently, I keep scrolling thru the same old stuff. I wish I could like it more because its the podcast app of choice in my BMW.

Fail

I HATE this program! Im going to have to finally abandon stitcher. I have used it for a number of years and Ive never really liked it that much because it was at various times buggy. It has now decided to only download the previous days episode of the podcast that I listen to. Stitcher has no support staff to speak to that I know of.

Im shocked at how bad this app is. If you are mostly all caught up on all your podcasts or do not care about earlier episodes then this may work for you. I guess the stock podcast app from Apple isnt as bad as I thought.
