Stitcher for Podcasts App Reviews

I literally use Stitcher every day, several times a day. I usually love it...but this new update included a pop-up ad asking (every single fing day!) if I want to upgrade to a premium membership. Whoever came up with the idea to spam the most loyal Stitcher users daily with a pop-up question that requires a Yes/No response should be disciplined and/or terminated. Seriously. Why try to be annoying?

Ive been using this app for a while now. Im finally overcoming my aversion to switching to another podcast app, because I cant stand the bugs anymore. Podcasts get stuck, much like old records used to, and you have to restart the app to get it going again. Super annoying if youre driving and cant stop. This happens almost every time I listen, at least once. Today, it wont let me resume my favorite podcast, at all. Tried closing and opening the app, starting another pod and switching back. Nothing. Done. Ill go through the irritation of finding a better app and setting up my favorites again. This is ridiculous.

Great interface. Ads are on the podcasts mostly, a bottom line on stitcher. Lots of variety. Love the car mode, I use it all the time. They add new podcasts often.

Best app for podcasts. No need to download and waste precious storage space. Also the interface is very user friendly

I use this app everyday. From the most popular Podcast you can think of, to the very obscure. Stitcher has what you sonically need. Its easy to navigate and the front page on your account is always up to date and fine tuned for your listening pleasure. Get this app and enjoy.

If you like lots of service outages where you lose access to podcasts for days or even a week at a time, this app is for you. I like the basic functionality, but Ive dealt with one outage too many and switched to Overcast, which has more features and is free.

Too many outages leaving me without access to podcasts for days or a week at a time. Do yourself a favor and switch to Overcast, which offers more podcasts and better features without the service outages.

If youre considering downloading Stitcher to use with CarPlay, dont bother. About half of the time, Stitcher hangs in CarPlay with a "Stitcher is launching..." Message that never goes away. If youre lucky enough to get it to start up, resuming a podcast never works. Youll get to the play screen and the play button wont function. Looking at the phone, it will say "buffering". If thats the case, that feedback should be presented in get CarPlay interface as well. Anyway, the buffering doesnt go away until you quit the app, restart it and then use the phone interface to play the podcast.

Its great when it works, but goes dark and doesnt respond often. Cannot contact to even ask what is happening. Disappointed.

Over the past year I have enjoyed that many of my media apps have added chromecast support, including the newer audio cast device which goes to my home speakers. Not so Stitcher. For this reason I have downgraded the star rating I would give for what is otherwise a very good solution to pod cast management. Perhaps this capacity is on the way?

Ive used a few podcasting apps and I have to say that this ones my favorite. Its simple to use and is very customizable. Has a lot of good features. My favorite is the 1.5x speed increase because I can listen to more and the quality is so high, the voices do not become distorted

after recent update at will not open continuously displaying maintenance mode only off-line content is available. No way to contact customer service, feedback appreciated.

Having Stitcher be down for two days has made me realize that I need this app like I need oxygen and water. I love Stitcher and appreciate the staff patiently responding to all of the frantic users asking when Stitcher will be back. Its great to have all my favorite podcasts stream in one place. Get well soon, Stitcher.

The only app that can be down for a few days and still get 4 star+ reviews. Still waiting!!!

The app generally works as advertised, but its been down for several days now. An update would be nice. Im giving it a few more days. Id they cant fix the problem, its back to Apples native Podcasts app.

App has been down for 3 Days! I hope whatever issues theyre fixing is worth the 3-4 days the app hasnt been functioning!
