Stitcher for Podcasts App Reviews

I Use it Frequently

Im really happy with the Stitcher app. I use it frequently for listening to podcasts and Ive found it easy to set up and maintain playlists.

Forget it

Playback skips like crazy. I just discovered Earbud on product hunt. Its like Goodreads but for podcasts...a lot more social. Im gonna give that a try instead.

Dont like it

Difficult to customize. Guess this is a good option if you really dont care what you listen to. It decided that I was into Tech news for some reason. I could not convince it otherwise

Great app

Amazing app full of amazing podcasts

Most used app

I believe that improvements could be made, but the podcast world needs better organization. This app allows listening to podcasts continuously, and users can search and add podcasts PRN. I use this app more than any other and highly recommend it.

Current version is awful, stitcher is usually great

Current version is awful, playback skipping/repeating, episodes will not buffer and app will freeze playback and cant recover without relaunch. Please fix.

No-synch podcast listening

Available Content: good, but a lot more selection is needed. Quality : Great. Interface: Great. One glitch: The Rachel Maddow Show, which airs Monday through Friday, isnt consistently posted to Stitcher on a nightly basis. When the show is posted to Stitcher one day (or a whole weekend) late, Stitcher date stamps it with the date of the post, rather than the air date. This confusion is compounded when another show airs that day, is posted later and it gets the same posting date. The best solution would be to get TRMS to post on time. Since I dont know how to solve that problem, it would be great if the date stamp of the program reflected the programs air date, not the Stitcher posting date.

I love this app, and use it every day

Stitcher is one of my most used apps. I use it every day to listen to my favorite podcasts. It is the best podcast app I have seen, but I wish it had a widget for the lock screen and 3D Touch support.

Cant sign in via facebook on IOS10

The sign in via facebook pop up does not load. I am now blocked from using the app.

Good app, why no Apple Watch Support?

Nice app, would give 5 stars with Apple Watch support - ridiculous to me that we are on WatchOS 3 and still no watch support for this app, which SCREAMS to be controlled from the wrist. Because of this I find myself using TuneIn more and more, Stitcher less and less. Love Stitcher, but get with the times guys.

Wish we could sort searches by upload date.

I love the app, but one feature that would be great would be if we could sort out episode searches by upload date.

Not useful to me anymore.

3500+ hr listener. Great to use podcast playlist across multiple mobile devices and desktop computers. They are often painfully slow in updating the feeds with the most recent episodes. Customer support is typically slow to respond (weeks) to get responses to feedback or questions.

Used to be great

Ive listened to hundreds of hours of podcasts with Stitcher over the years, but Im afraid I have to switch. I use the "offline" feature so that I can download episodes via wifi for later listening without using data. I just checked my data settings and this app has used 100MB of data even though Ive turned data off in settings! How does an app override data settings? I suspect theyve made changes to force me to listen to their horrible, repetitive, endless ads, but they shouldnt be able to override my data settings. Not cool, Stitcher. Im reporting this to Apple. Its BS.

Let me down

I used to absolutely love this app. There was finally a way to listen to all of the Woody show podcasts on the weekends while I was working. But after this new update, it only lets you record two episodes at one time, and erases all the old episodes once the new one comes out, even if you arent finished listening to them. I used to have 6+ hours of content I could listen to every weekend and now Im down to about 2. Huge fail on their part. Definitely lost a user.

App makes commute bearable!

I love this app and love listening to my favorite podcasts during my commute. But deleting podcasts is cumbersome and takes several steps (not a big deal for one podcast, but frustrating when I want to clean up library). You have to click Settings button, then Edit, then Delete podcasts without even being able to see their description. I hope someday theyll switch to the standard iPhone delete: swipe left from main page and hit red delete button. Also I would like to know how to delete a playlist I created. It only shows up on front page, not on My Playlists, and I want to get rid of it. Cant find this online. I would give app 5 stars if not for these 2 things.

Cant review podcasts or read reviews!

Doesnt make much sense to make me go to someone elses app to be able to see reviews for a podcast.

Used to be good but now Im uninstalling

The features are so scatterbrained! For example if you podcaster releases two podcasts on the same day,you will never see the second one! It only displays the latest podcast only and there is no way to change it. Also the listen offline setting is screwed up along with many others .

Awful... subscribed to commercial free & Im still bombarded with ads

Look elsewhere!

No watch app and BMW connect

I initially heard about Stitcher via the BMW connect feature. I hope they continue to work on this as there are several issues with the interface in the car. Also, a watch app would be very helpful. Either control, or actually listen from watch would be even better.

Too many ads, frequently freezes

Along with the ads that are already in the podcast, Stitcher puts a high-volume 30 second ad in front of every podcast you listen to. The same ad, for months. Additionally it frequently freezes and loses your place in the podcast if you switch from Stitcher to anything else on your phone.
