Stitcher for Podcasts App Reviews

Havent been able to download any podcasts distributed by NPR for over a week. Ive tried restarting and reinstalling, and have gotten no response from Stitchers support team.

Ive logged 600+ hours with this app and now since the latest update it will only play for 20-40 seconds and then pauses. I wrote to the support email last week, but no response. My guess is that their ad-delivery system is interfering with playback.

Was a daily listener until the latest update. The installation never completed and the app will no longer open. Nor can it be deleted and reinstalled. Too bad.

Im loyal paid member for years, but now BBC news wont work, really? I had to sign up for free acct to make it work, but now it stops, then restarts and repeats part of the way through the stream. Bummers, this app used to be one of my favs, happily paid for the service.

I started listening to podcasts on stitcher , so it is hard to leave, but the app is cluttered and has gotten more so over time. The favorites window is where Id like to start and stay but it insists on showing me its front page at every opportunity. Its hard to use in the car, the navigation is not intuitive even after many months, and now it is playing its own advertisements in front of my content. That was the last straw and now Im switching away from ever using it again. Bye

Good App. Car Mode crashes on IPhone. Worked in prior versions of iOS.

I still use this app almost everyday. Great source for news and my favorite comedy shows. Ads could use some variety and better timing. But I tend to skip them.

I recommend this to all my friends. I have been using Stitcher intensively for many years and have logged over 2200 listening hours. I have had none of the problems listed in other reviews. The range of podcasts is amazing. Great for NPR fans but the selections go even farther.

Great app for listening to podcasts-especially since you can listen without using data (you can download in advance). Also you can see when your favorite podcasts come out with new episodes. Much better than using the preloaded podcast app.

The app I listen to every day. A wake up option would be really neat! Is that possible? How do I manually add podcasts by web address?

The best and most used app on my phone. They had a week or so with some troubles which was the longest week of my life, but on the four years Ive been using the app that is the only trouble Ive ever come across. Hardcore History is your best bet if youre looking for a podcast to start with!

I obsessively listen to podcasts and only listen via Stitcher. Two reccos: (1) Id like to be able to mark an episode as "already listed to." (2) once an episode is listened to, Id like to be able to mark it to listen without it going to the archive. Thanks!

Its a 4.5 star app otherwise. This version has been skipping playback like crazy though, to the point I have to stop using the app because its so frustrating. I hope they fix this soon.

The Listen Later feature on the app works terrible. It skips quite often and on a lot of occasions Ive found that I need internet connectivity to listen to episodes Ive downloaded or even open the app.

I use this app continuously and for the most part I works well; however, Id like to see the ability to review history, even just for a day. Id like to see a better search capability. There should be key word searching. Overall, it is much better than Apples app but there would be nice to have features that could be implemented. I use this app daily and like it but there are some frustrations to it. Another cool thing would be able to hit a donate button or go to the patrion page through Stitcher.

I have been using the Stitcher app for years, and was previously very happy with it. The last two months, however, the only thing that plays back reliably has been the commercials. It skips, pauses and disconnects so badly that it is almost completely unusable at this point.
