Stitcher for Podcasts App Reviews

I use to love stitcher. I am going to stick with it for a while hoping it will get fixed. Too many adds for a war movie and it forgets that I listened to a show so it replays it. It also does not seem to keep the shows that I have selected to "listen offline" after I finish them. Sometimes I like to go back and re-listen but I am forced to use my data for the second go. When I am out away from wifi I start listening to a green show, once it is over it will automatically switch to a blue show so it uses my data without me knowing it - unless I constantly check which is not fun. I do like the sleep timer feature, so please keep this feature. Just sort out the replays and shows switching from green to blue. I understand adds are important, but at least switch them up. It is aggravating and reduces my listening pleasure and desire to use stitcher. Thanks! I hope you can fix these bugs, Long time listener Beth

Used to love stitcher but its absolutely un-useable now! Constant ads, even when you pause a podcast or switch from Bluetooth to headphones. Im not going to see the movie lone survivor just to protest those annoying ads. Bye stitcher, back to the vanilla podcast app.

I used to continuously have issues with streaming, but these seem to be ironed out with the last update. The ads are now out of control, however. I hear the same ad again and again, before almost every podcast. I might just go back to downloading them through iTunes.

Stitcher used to be my goto for headline news radio and interesting content. Lately its become almost unusable because of the constant ads for the movie Lone Survivor!

Ive listened to thousands of hours of podcasts on Stitcher. Well courted show list. App is perfectly functional. Way better than the iOS podcast app.

Why use your data to listen to shows?? THEY WONT STOP SENDING ME SPAM!! I have unsubscribed 5 times!! I listened to one part of one show and realized its worthless, and they have sent me 10 emails so far asking me to review it!

Been using over 2years now no complains till. Keep up the great work guys

I use this app all the time. Great selection of radio shows. They continue to make improvements so that it is user friendly.

Added so much advertising that the program is barely usable. Interface with advertising is awful! Please rethink this as it really was a great product.

The stitcher app has never been outstanding, but it used to be a serviceable podcast app. Its gotten much worse recently. Constant adds, whenever you start a new podcast or resume a podcast. Episodes usually appear long after theyve been available elsewhere. This app is for people who listen to podcasts/radio very rarely unless you want to hear constant adds.

Only controls are rewind 30 secs + forward 30 secs + skip to next podcast. There is a resume podcast function that lets you get back to where you left off if you have manually STOPPED a podcast. If you ever need to find a spot within a 4 hr podcast youre not going to be happy. Sometimes you just have to leave a podcast. If you dont manually stop the podcast before attending to other tasks that pop up in EVERYBODYs life, you will find that its not easy using 30 second increments trying to find where you left off. Requires industry standard visual marker to help locate spots within a cast. Of course, users could ensure they stop the cast before life interferes but thats adapting to limited technology and its supposed to be the other way around. Annoying enough to write this long review. Other than that, it plays podcasts.

This app is worth it solely if you pay for the premium. The free app is riddled with ads and is annoying beyond means. Paused your podcast for a few minutes? Ad before you can listen again. Switching from one show to another? Ad before you can listen again? Ad didnt load properly for who knows what reason? Lets do another ad before you can listen. This app used to be a good freemium podcasting app and I didnt mind the occasional ad but they seemed to have turned the ad frequency dial to 11.

I love having this App.

I find this far easier than the podcast app. Great app!

The premise of the app is great but there is an annoying bug where the podcasts dont update - so your front page remains identical forever unless you reinstall the app. Also podcasts that I have already listened to reappear on my front page as if I havent listened to them. Time to hire some better developers

Start up the app and if youre not connected to wi-fi or data, the app usually gets caught in a loop of error messages and needs to be re-started. When resuming a podcast I had been listening to, the app often starts from the beginning instead of where I left off!

How can you beat free podcasts? Huh?

Love Stitcher, I use it all the time! Keeps me company while I work. Better that Apples Podcast app.
